About Marathe Milk Products
We, Marathe Milk Products, are a small scale industry manufacturing sweets using milk and other agricultural produce, operating from Mala Village in Karkala Taluk of Udupi District of Karnataka State.
Our uniqueness is that we use only Natural substances and do not use artificial/synthetic Colors or Flavors in our Products.
Marathe Milk Products, as it is called today, was started by Mr. Govinda Marathe, a person from Chitpavan Bramhana community with only agricultural background, in the year 1990 with no name, with no intention of business, just in an effort to protect the dairy farm that was run by him since selling of milk to Co-Operatives then was not worthy.
Now we cater Dakshina Kannada & Udupi Districts and parts of Chikmagalur & Kodagu Districts and are renowned for Hygiene, Premium Taste, Quality & Service
Location
Mala village is situated at the foot step of Kudremukh National Reserve Forest and is enriched by abundant and pure natural resources. The village is also having a good connectivity by road network.
Growth Story
In the time of inception, the entire work was handled by only family members with no machines and no electrical power, as a home industry. Manufacturing was done at the house of the founder.
After withstanding the initial hindrances & losses for a couple of years, with continued efforts, the business started growing. Manpower of 4 to 5 numbers was engaged there on. For better utilization of time, Mechanization was started in the year 1998, with a machine for processing of milk, bought from Ahmadabad, Gujrat.
Full-Fledged business was established in the year 1998. Dedicated Factory building was inaugurated in the year 2003. Now we operate with 75% mechanization for manufacturing and have a target to mechanize 90% operations by end of 2013-2014 for achieving highest standards of quality.
In 2019 We have Reached Our Estimated Target , 90 % Of The Oparations Are machanised .
